Candy has ministered as a Published Author, Guest speaker, Bible study teacher, Evangelist, Actress, Poet, Playwright, Producer, Director, Gospel singer and Prayer leader.

 

She is a retired real estate lender, a recent widow, mother of 3 and grandmother. For over 40 years, fusing her spiritual vocation as a lay ministry with her love of the arts has consistently been Candy’s driven passion.  For decades folks in and around California's Monterey Bay Area have enjoyed Mrs Thomas’ featured appearances in:  "The Wiz”,  Dr. MLK, Jr. Day, Black History Programs, and  CSUMB Gospel Choir Concerts  to name a few.

Her sermons and plays include: “Jesus is Alive”,  "Angel Disclosures", “Transformed By God", "How Sweet the Sound”, "First Love's Fire", and "Eve Speaks". Her one-woman shows based on the lives of Harriet Tubman, Mahalia Jackson, Rosa Parks and Sojourner Truth have stirred audiences throughout her long career.

 

Candy is currently a board member at Charisma City Productions, a 501c3 faith based theater company in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a featured artist, she has delighted audiences in their productions:  "Faith You Can See", "Mountaintop 2025"  and  "East Bay Gospel Festival"

 

Her book “School of Prayer - Time for a Revolution”, is a good read! The Holy Spirit gave her unique insight concerning the need for radical transformation in the understanding of prayer within the Body of Christ.  With that objective in mind, Candy creatively pinned her book as part autobiographical and part devotional to make it more relatable and applicable.

 

Candy states “My sincere desire is to plant seeds for a prayer revival by sharing just how deeply God values ongoing fervent dialogue with His children. In the midst of the 21st Century technology and information explosion, we need to hear from God more than ever before! I sincerely believe the rapid development of Artificial Intelligence is one of multiple signs pointing to the end times.  This atmosphere is prime for the utilization of creative arts and multimedia in Christian ministries to advance the Kingdom of God. 

 

The blessed expectation of our King's eminent return fills me with hope, joy and excitement. Now is the time for the Church to spiritually rise up in the power of prayer, love and action, implementing every creative means available to seek first the Kingdom of God by sharing the Good News of the Gospel."
